We walked out of church and just beyond driveway we entered Chambers County. Chambers is the tenth county we have walked in during our Walk up Alabama venture.
We did not get very many chances to have our pictures made together on this trip, or so it seemed. This picture was made by Margaret Nicolosi when we stopped and visited with she and Joe. I made a picture of David with Joe and Margaret and that is one of the ones we are having technical difficulties with. I hope to get that resolved and post several more pictures.
The closed door and front step of the Boxcar Store with David barefoot, resting and eating.
I am sitting on my backpacking stool in front of the door, boots off, enjoying food from the pack and resting. When Bethany saw this picture I understand she told Cathy "Mom, Dad and David look like they are homeless!"
Finally as you can tell by the long shadow it is late in the day and we have made it to LaFayette!! Yippee, food if anything is still open.
These two ladies saying "Welcome to Subway!" was a welcomed sight for sure. Probably the best Sub I have ever had!
Just click on picture and read, I always take a picture of all historical markers we pass.
Another marker and both of these were in front of the Chambers County Courthouse.
And I didn't know that the World Champion HeavyWeight fighter Joe Louis (Barrow) was from Chambers County until I went to the front of the courthouse to take the pictures of the Historical markers and saw this statue.
